Andras Valko is a senior technical leader with a focus on high-tech innovation. Since 2023 he is with the Bank for International Settlements, where his current role is Deputy Head of the Innovation Hub Eurosystem Centre. Prior to joining the BIS, he was in the executive management team of SBAB Bank (Sweden) with a responsibility for data, analytics, and AI. Earlier, he had held various leadership positions within agile software development, strategic product management, business development, and applied research. Andras holds a Ph.D. in computer science, an M.Sc. in electrical engineering, and a B.Sc. in economics.
