Andras Valko has held a variety of leadership positions related to high tech innovation within banking and telecommunications. Prior to 2019, he worked with agile software development, strategic product management, business development, and applied research. From 2019 to 2023 he was in the executive leadership team of SBAB Bank (Sweden) with a responsibility for data, analytics, and AI. Since 2023 he is with the Bank for International Settlements, where his current role is Deputy Head of the Innovation Hub Eurosystem Centre. Andras holds a Ph.D. in computer science, an M.Sc. in electrical engineering, and a B.Sc. in economics.
