Taylan is CEO, Retail Banking for Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB). Based in London, he is responsible globally for Retail Banking Customer Segments, International Business, Retail Banking Products, Payments, Marketing, Physical and Digital Channels and Data, Analytics and CRM. Taylan is a member of global WPB Exco since October 2017 and is a non-exec board member at HSBC Global Asset Management.
Taylan joined HSBC in 2009 as the Global Head of Investments, Insurance and International and has a broad range of WPB experience, in particular Regional and Country Head roles, Head of Strategy and Planning, Head of Wealth Management and Head of Transformation. Prior to joining HSBC, Taylan held a number of senior executive roles at Citigroup and Barclays across a number of markets including Turkey, Russia, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Taylan holds an Economics degree from Bogazici University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
