Yurry Hendriks brings over 20 years of expertise in digital transformation. As the Payments team manager at ABN AMRO in 2014, he encountered the burgeoning roles of Bitcoin and blockchain, which led him to appreciate the disruptive potential of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) for society and the banking sector.
In 2015, Yurry founded and managed the DLT Lab at ABN AMRO, aimed at building comprehensive bank-wide capabilities in blockchain technology. He now heads the Digital Assets teams within ABN AMRO Group Innovation, where he spearheads initiatives to drive innovation and develop future-proof value propositions.
Collaborating closely with the Global Markets business line, Yurry's team is revolutionizing capital market infrastructures and creating new products for both traditional and emerging asset classes. Recognizing digital identities as a critical type of digital asset, his team is also pioneering new value propositions in this domain.
Before his tenure at ABN AMRO, Yurry gained valuable experience at IBM and worked and lived 2 years as an advisor for a tea cooperative in Tanzania through an international NGO.
