Koen has more than 2 years experience in the financial sector and most of his career in the transaction banking space. He worked for SWIFT and the Belgian Banks KBC and Belfius. After Heading the Trade Finance department at Belfius, Koen got promoted in April 2022 to the position of Senior VP Transaction Banking. Within this role, Koen is responsible for cash management, trade finance and working capital / supply chain finance for the Corporate & Public segment. On top of this, he also oversees the AML / KYC / KYT functions as part of the first line of defense.
Koen used to be one of the co-founders of the Ireland based fintech we-trade, a blockchain based platform for open account trade owned by 12 international banks.
