Chris works at esure as Chief Data Officer responsible for data strategy, governance, engineering, analytics, data science & AI. He is accountable for the growth and scaling of new machine learning & AI applications and products across the enterprise as well as AI research. Chris has experience across FMCG retail, banking, automotive, marketing & insurance industries having worked as a practitioner of data science and product developer through to a leader & strategist of data science capability and transformation. He has worked on every facet of the discipline from forecasting, NLP, image recognition, anomaly detection, recommenders & more recently GenAI. He is also responsible for the build of platform infrastructure and MLOps frameworks. Chris holds a PhD in Computational Statistics from Liverpool University.
