John has been with Swiss Re for over 20 years and is currently Head of L&H Underwriting Innovation, a role where he works with insurers to help them reinvent their own underwriting processes through the optimised use of data, technology, services and partnerships. He has a strong focus on product innovation and simplification of process and has a passion for solutions which help insurers to better reach customers who struggle currently to access valuable protection products. During this same period he has been heavily involved in the European regulatory debate around fairness of risk selection, genetics, gender and cancer survival.
